Call me crazy but some of my favorite sessions I have ever done have been in the middle of winter when it is freezing outside. This session is one of those! We started our session up Provo Canyon and we had no idea how much snow was awaiting us when we got up there! Kim was such a trooper and waded through feet of snow to her soon to be husband who was very patiently waiting for her. As he turned around and saw his sweet bride for the first time in her stunning gown I know I was almost in tears! As we were taking portraits this group of people walked by who were snowshoeing. They all had DSLR cameras and we later found out they were a photography group out taking pictures of the snow! They asked if they could practice taking some pictures of the happy couple because they though Kim looked so incredibly gorgeous! They promised they would stay out of the way and they hung around us as we finished the pictures we wanted up the canyon!
We then headed to the Provo City Center Temple and we stayed there until the sun was gone and there was no light left! Kim had pure happiness written all over her face. She was wearing a stunning diamond necklace. When I had complimented how gorgeous it was (well everything about her is gorgeous) she mentioned the diamond in the necklace was actually her grandmothers. I love it when bride’s include a part of their heritage or their life in with their wedding day. After all a wedding is the joining of two families, right?
Even though it was freezing cold I truly enjoyed every minute I got to spend with these two. As I look back on these sessions I did in 2017 and since then my heart is so incredibly full. I have been privileged to watch incredible couples share their love with each other and start these amazing lives together. So Kim and Tyler I have to say one more time thank you, thank you for allowing me to even see just a small glimpse into the incredible love you two share for each other.
